My bottom half of my dipstick looks shiny and new. The tophald is varnished up. Proof tome that it is working.
Background:
2001 ls1 Z28, 50,000 miles
Mobil 1 with 5000 miles on it
Added 1 bottle (6qt. capasity)
Drove 400miles
Changed filter, added 3 more oz A-Rx (no top off oil)
Drove the Old M-1 for a totalof 7900 miles (this was 1900 miles with A-Rx)
Chanced oil at WallMart....Super Tech 5-W 30 and filter (11 dollar lube job

Now at 700 miles with El-Cheapo oil
At 2,000miles, I'll go back to M-1 10W30 (5-qt/1-qt15W-50) and 3 oz A-Rx.
The oil that came out after the cleaning phase was sludgy and BLACK! Of course,the oil had almost 8,000 miles on it!
