A couple of weeks ago the quality of the diesel fuel took a nose dive. This is beyond the winter blend doldrums. The usual amount of FP did not help. It was apparent that the cetane had dropped a bit. To get the quick starts back and reduce the noise level at idle, I put together a mixture. Two parts FP plus one part Amsoil cetane boost. Then added at the rate of one ounce of mix to four gallons of fuel. Now every thing is back to the way it was.
