New vs Old Formula ARX

I believe I read a post some time back that the current version of ARX was reformulated not too long ago ffrom the original and, among other things, the wax cystals are gone. Is this correct and if so what changed and why?

My understanding was that the formula did not change but something in the preparation was done to make it more consistant or homogenious.
