My Tacoma is now 8 years old with 120K miles. There seems to be a small leak forming on the top plastic end tank of my radiator where the metal clamps the tank to the core.
The stock radiator was made by Harrison. Held up pretty well. Is there another brand that makes great radiators? There is TYC, Pro Part, OSC and Vista Pro on Rockauto.

Try Amazon, I ordered a TYC and they sent me a a part for a V6 Camry which looked exactly like the OEM. Been good for three years. About 100 bucks.

Have a look at THIS. Looks like Toyota changed/upgraded the radiator. If your not familiar with the site click the "more info" button for a diagram.

120k, boo... that stinks but is expected for lousy asian plastic top radiators.
We ultimately found an all-brass one for our integra and our previa. The Integra ate through two in 188k and the previa was about to go through its second by 180k.

Try to find Behr. The plastic top Behr radiators on my MBs and BMW last >>200k miles and 30 years without issue.

+1
Also, the plastic capped radiators found on GM and Ford cars tend to outlast the ones on Asian cars. I don't know why that it. Most Denso parts are good, but their radiators are all weak.

I have over 208K miles on my 1995 Ford Escort's original radiator.

Well, after a week and about 1000 miles I have not seen any evidence of a leak anymore? The engine was cold after sitting in the parking lot so I popped open the cap and the coolant is full to the top.
I am wondering if it was some liquid from outside of the truck since the area was facing the open grill that made the raddy look like it was leaking. The whole thing is bone dry.
Hasn't rained here for 3 months. I'll keep my eye on it. my co workers 95 Tacoma just had it's OEM raddy changed for the first time last year.

Usually its a fix for something. Maybe your issue, but apparently it resolved itself.

Koyo makes the best aftermarket radiators for Japanesse vehicles.
However I've had very good luck with SPI, and the Chinesse radiators on ebay. The one for my old Camry was 37 bucks.
One for your Tacoma is 71 assuming a 03 Taco 4x4.
The ebay rads look the same as the SPI rads. probably made in the same factory in china.

Behr, you should be able to get 20 years or more out of one if you change the coolant.

I don't know what they use for plastic but I know of a lot of 20-30 year old Behr radiators doing pretty good in old Mercedes.
