Whatever I use to protect myself I would want to make sure that if I have to shoot that I shoot to stop them. Shooting with the mindset of just injuring them may get you hurt.
Thankfully as its been proven just the presence of a firearm stops many a crime each and every day.
I also hope that this thread is not someone
as that would be against the rules and could get some time off.
I know someone who has been here for 4 years would never do that so lets treat this seriously and educate the OP on what to do in a self defense situation and opinions on this weapon.
The Kel-Tec in the OPs post seems to have key-holing issues to the point that it was/has been delayed and some samples have been not key-holing but seem to jam. It could be simple as feed ramp issues to many more problems.
Personally I'd say away from one just for cost alone. .22mag is really not a effective round vs cost and you do have the rimfire concern for being reliable in a SD situation.

I own a Kel-Tec P3AT, and it is the most comfortable gun I own to carry. This is due to it's very small size, and weight. However it does fail to feed sometimes. It is difficult to find ammo that feeds well in it. It currently has Remington Golden Saber's in it, But I'm thinking about Corbon Powerball, so it will feed better. Due to the questionable reliability I typically carry my Glock 26 when it's not too hot out. But I carry my Kel-Tec, in the summer time, or when I don't want to feel like I'm carrying a gun. It's really nice to have the Kel-Tec disappear into a pocket holster when your not feeling well vs having the Glock IWB. As for home defense, I have a Glock 19
with Trijicon night sights, loaded with Speer Gold Dot
124gr +P's. I think I will be looking for a Remington 870 Pump this year though.
I have no experience with the other model Kel-Tec that the op is asking about. But I wanted to share my experience with a Kel-Tec product.
about the only thing better than a 870 for home defence is a BIG dog..
