Mobil 1 5W-30 High Mileage VOA

I thought I would post it up for the benefit of the members here.

Hard to believe the TBN is that high. Anyone know if it's accurate? I love this oil in my Toyota.

I know this oil is still rated API SL, according to Mobil's website. This VOA is over a year old. I wonder if Mobil is still using this same formula in their high-mileage oils today? They have switched to the lower sulfated-ash formula (high magesium, lower calcium) in almost every other version of Mobil 1, except the 0W-40.

Yep thats why i like the HM flavors still(last i looked)SL add packs..

How many OCi miles is a 13+ TBN worth?

The PDS on M1 site is dated April 2010 so this should be the latest formulation.

No, the new HM oils are nothing like this. They use the newer non metallic adds.

What new HM oils are you speaking of?
That 10w-30 VOA is only 4 months post the 5w-30??

The VOA you just posted is from the previous version of Mobil 1 HM. Notice the increase in Mg, decrease in Ca. It's the same additive system as the SN Mobil 1 oil.
