Changing oil filter with Auto-Rx

How do you change the first oil filter without draining the oil and makeing a mess. Won't the oil pour out the filter hole. That is what auto-rx says to do when you add it to your existing oil.

do it all the time. First, most all your oil ends up in the oil pan shortly after you shut the car down, second this one you can do cold. The small amount of spilled earl is basically the small amount normally left in the filter when you do a normal oil change anyway.

Not much. Just what spills out of the filter if you tilt it and the little bit trapped above it in the engine.
