I have a 1995 Ford F-250 7.5L (460), 189,000. I also have a 1992 Dodge B150 Van 5.2L (318) 103,384. I have been using Motorcraft-Semi Synthetic in my Ford for about 10 or 12 years. and dino oil in the Dodge.
Has anybody had an luck or problems with Castrol GTX High Mileage Semi-Synthetic Oil in my Dodge. I will probably start using it in my Ford also. Or am I just as well off to use the Motorcraft oil in both.

I have been using Castrol GTX HM for the last 5 years in different vehicles. It's in my 96 Jeep Cherokee 5.2 now getting ready for the 3rd oil change, and my 92 Honda Accord. The Accord dipstick had dark varnish on it when I got it. Not sure of the history but I put GTX HM in it and not long after the dipstick has started to clean up. Search my posts there is a picture.

It is not a bad oil , however I believe there are better HM oils on the market. Valvoline Maxlife and Quaker State Defy are two semi-synthetic HM oils I would use before Castrol GTX HM.

I have read the above sentence repeatedly. Do I understand that either (1) your 16 year old Jeep has had only 3 oil changes, OR (2) is awaiting the 3rd oil change in the last 5 years (since using Castrol GTX)?
