Normally SAV GA but TQ Iraq for now
right by the house Shell is normaly $0.03-$0.05 gallon higher than the other stations but down by post where I work it is consistently at least $.50 higher and has about the highest spread between 87 and 93. Is this a station that is just trying to sell less gas or does Shell itself have more say in gas prices?

They think a lot of adverts of questionable content will hornswoggle you into paying extra. BTW there IS a government specification for reular gas sold in the US.

It is all competition and volume determined...The additive price in toptier gas would account for a few cents a gallon....

Top-Tier non Top-Tier gas prices are about the same here. Often it is the the Top-Tier Quick Trip and Shell are less than Circle K.

The gas station by your house may use Shell gasoline and it is franchised by Shell but in all probability it is a independent franchise.

Completely agree.

Top tier here is 3.17 (last check) but non top tier is 3.21 a gal (citgo last i checked) for some reason the exxon off the interstate is cheap, and still gets its fuel from exxon itself....yet the exxon around the corner and the gulf are in the 3.35 range.

The least expensive BPs around here still undercut the least expensive everything else by at least 10 cents a gallon for 93 octane premium.

Are they doing this as a continuation of an attempt at positive PR/retribution for their Deepwater Horizon catastrophe??
