Is there any compelling reason to use this stuff in a perfectly functioning Dodge 47RH tranny? I know DC trannys can be very finicky about getting exact tranny fluid charactersitics.

Is this stuff just another snake oil or are there meaningful benefits?

It is not snake oil. It is a formulated set of esters designed to smooth-out problems in transmissions and upgrade some general purpose synthetic ATF's to CF+4, etc.

I would not use in a new transmission.

Change fluid at 30,000 miles or sooner and your tranny will thank you.

this is a tough one for me. I have the Lubeguard red in three AT units. On two I don't think it made any difference and on one, maybe but it is probably my desire to see a change over actually having one. Maybe in the third, who knows,.

Same with the lubeguard gear oil additive. Just placed it in with a new gear oil mixture, difinite improvement in shifting but was it the new mixture or the lubeguard or both. I will never know.

If operating fine I would save your money.

naaah, this is not a snake oil. not for every transmission though. i've used it with positive results. LG red I like!
