What is AUTORX?

blueovalfitter,

Auto-Rx is for use in the oil only. You can use it to clean your transmission also. Another post in this forum has pictures of the cleaning action of Auto-Rx in the crankcase.

I believe someone added it to their power steering fluid too.

BlueOvalFitter,

good question! I was wondering the same thing. I asked at a few auto places around town, and nobody had heard of it.

Thanks for the link rugerman1. I'm thinking about trying it in a few older vehicles. If a product can pass the test of the crew here, then I'm listening.

Sure you can! Others on this forum have done oil analysis on the same interval, and the Auto-rx doesn't thin out the oil or do anything that would alter the results (other than increased oxidation due to the cleaning action it's doing)

Great, thanks, glad to hear it. I think I'll do both then.
