As long as they still make GC even if it is called something else, their oil is welcome in my stash.
Boy will I be happy when ALL vehicles on public roads are autonomous.

Welcome indeed! Castrol motor oil & I go back a long way -- well into the 1960s and and the days of air-cooled, four-cylinder, pushrod V-dubs and Porsches.

Thank you, Castrol. GTX was in my LTD when it got totalled off at over half a million kilometres. To be clear, I'm thanking Castrol for the quality product, and not blaming them for the collision. wink

I've got GTX HM in the old Subie right now, GTX 20W-50 in one of the mowers and have used some Syntec, Edge and Tection Extra over the past couple of years. I have some GC as well as some US Syntec (5W-30 and 5W-50) and some GTX in the stash at the moment.

Glad to see you here!!...I'm currently running Castrol Edge with titanium in my f150 ecoboost, I have about 1500 miles on the oil, I think the mpg has increased 1 to 2 mpg...and the engine seems to run more quiet...I'll be doing a Blackstone report at about 4500 miles.

You need to check with Walmarts, abycat. At least here, it's always on rollback. I haven't seen Castrol GTX at Walmart here for regular price since I started frequenting this board.

You can't be serious.

Show me an oil that's poorer in service because of the basestock.
Looks to me like oils of today are superior, even with their group 3 basestocks.

So give your head a shake.

I guess I would use it over a petro but its not my first pick. Pureplus Pennzoil Syn followed by Quaker State then M1 then Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic then Castrol EDGE.
