Do the lead substitutes products like CD2 Lead Substitutes work as an UCL and do they typically have MMT? Can you assume all lead substitutes are UCLs? Or do you have to use an octane booster to get the MMT and UCL? It seems like the products overlap somewhat in that octane boosters may have MMT.

Also, CD2 LS's claims for offroad use only. Why offroad only? Really strange with all the EPA regulations today.

The bottom line is I am trying to find the cheapest UCL either via octane booster or lead sub.

Thanks, I will look into it.

Are we making a distinction between UCL and valve recession protection? I at first thought they were the same, but now I am thinking you need a light oil for UCL and something like MMT for valve protections- i.e. two seperate treatments for two different parts of the upper engine.
