Can someone tell me if the following list of chemicals is used in any engine cleaners/solvents that they have seen from OTC retailers:
- synthetic polyol fatty acid esters (gp 5 oil)
- methylphenyl ester (ortho isomer)
this stuff has a slight alcohol smell and also smells similar to Schaeffers Neutra. I have soaked engine parts in it and it seems to eat the carbon and grease away very well but I am afraid to try it as a engine cleaner in my old junky lawn mower without knowing more about it.
