I wonder what effect, if any, putting a little, say 1 ounce, of Auto-RX in with each change. I treated my Grandma's 160k Olds Ciera with Auto RX and noticed, when I went to throw the bottle away last night, that I had about an ounce left in the bottle. Hate to waste it...

VanderSS,
I use 2 ounces as a maintenance dose with every oil change on my 5qt. Mazda. It won't hurt a thing. In fact, I would recommend doing this.

When you do an oil analysis with Auto-rx in there all the time (say 2oz in 5 quarts) how does it show up on that analysis? Terry?

Reduced Nitration,lower solids,possibly lower wear#'s.

You may or may not see these.

The chemists who developed this product use the 2 to 3 oz dose in each oil change of their own vehicles.

It has tested very well as a partial substitute for antiwear and Friction modifiying additives. I have NOT done extensive testing on this aspect of the substance but the proprietary bench tests are very compelling.

I personally think it's dispersant capabilities are well worth noting but have been overlooked mostly because of cost issues.

We all want a $1.00 or less per qt oil that performs like a $8 a quart oil.
