I just recently moved back to La. I use to get my oil changed at my local Ford dealer. I had it changed just recently at a local indy garage due to the nearest Ford dealer being 60 miles away. They used a NAPA Proselect oil filter.Any opinions on this filter? I know it's not a Motorcraft but will it be ok for 5K mile OCIs?

Try advanced seach in the filter section. If the proselect has the combo valve and it evidences noisy starts Id change it out. On of the few filters ive had major issues with - due to the combo valve.

good filters!! i use them on my 1991 mercury colony park, 1x/year oil change. Filters are made by WIX. combo valve is good. Now is being installed on Napa Golds so it's fine.

leave it in the car and use with confidence. These are equivalent to Purolator Classics. metal endcaps, solid construction
