I know that many have stated that the Sig Sauer P229 is a great side arm. I've held and fired one with the DA/SA trigger and liked it as well.

I have the opportunity to buy the DAK version in a .40 S&W for a pretty good price. I've never tried the DAK trigger on those Sigs before, but the 6.5 lb pull sounds like it would be nice. The long trigger travel makes me wonder if that would induce some level of wobble though while pulling the trigger.

Anyway, I'd be curious on the thoughts of the masses on the DAK trigger set-up.

I carry a p226 .40 full size (for duty) and highly recommend any Sig Sauer. They are a quailty firearm. I have shot thousands of rounds through it with no malfunctions. I am not familiar with the DAK version.

I'm using a P226 DAK right now and have a 229 DAK on order.

The DAK trigger is like a very good revolver trigger: Heavier than SA and longer pull but it's smooth.

I prefer the DAK because I get a good trigger every time I pull the trigger.
