Does a foam gun work pretty good. It's a craftsman power washer.

It does. I use car wash soap in my 11 HP commercial Honda machine, and use about two to four times the suggested amount. It takes a little tweaking, and the brand of soap matters.

Ive seen dedicated foam guns that make a very nice soap coating on the vehicle. They work well if you get a good one.

IMO no point on wasting electricity/fuel/forcing pressurized soapy water on the dirty car, when a low pressure foam gun could be used.

I quit using pressure washers on my cars decades ago when I accidentally blew a small piece of meat off one of my fingers. After that happened, I figured it couldn't be doing my cars finish any good......

Distance from the tip is crucial.

Besides, the actual pressure can be all over the place from unit to unit.
