Bosch Platinum Plus spark plugs?

What vehicle are you working with? I only like to use Bosch in cars that originally had Bosch.

I replace AC plugs with NGK plugs, if I have to.
 
Excellent product.

I think the multi electrode versions are mostly hype unless a specific application calls for it.

I use Bosch Plats in my cars and have never had any issues, quality is excellent. Their made in USA and German made product is either the best or among the best when it comes to plugs.

The regular Bosch Platinums (single electrode) will work perfectly.

Just make sure you get the CORRECT application number for your car.
 
I wouldn't use a Bosch spark plug in anything that didn't come with it either. Even then, I'd be looking very very hard at NGK.

It may be a local supply chain issue but I see maybe 1 in 7 Bosch plugs locally sourced (from various stores) being defective. NGK, Denso, and Motorcraft, not one defect. Autolite? Two defective Autolite spark plugs out of hundreds. I've had one defective ACDelco brand spark plug but don't use them as much as NGK, Denso, or Autolite. I've never had a defective Champion either, but don't use them much as I just don't like the finish on the threads.

Hmm... if five different companies would all pay me to tout their spark plugs over Bosch....

How many virtual lunches from the virtual roach coach would that buy?
 
I put them in ,in the autozone parking lot when I saw how bad my old ones were. Seemed easy cause they were pre-gapped. The seem fine

Of course they are fine. They are a quality product. And because they are a leader in spark plugs and very price competitive, makes them hard to beat. The important part is making sure you get the correct application for your vehicle.
A lot of times the chain parts stores get it WRONG even with the correct app right on the computer in front of them! I've had it happen personally.

Now, if I had a dime for each time the NGK brigade showed up in threads like these I'd be a multimillionaire!

I find with Bosch, it varies from vehicle to vehicle. My Cavalier runs great with them and my truck pings with them. Only way to know how they work is to try them.
 
I have a 08 hyundai accent, i had ngk iridum, ngk platinum, they were both missfiring at highway speed. Apparently, copper is a better choice to get a strong spark, so i put in champion copper plus, the small 1.6L run so much better, response better too. It depends of the typ of engine you have i guess, but for me,coppe it is, i dont waste money on expensive iridium or plat.

Your car came with Denso Iridium Long Life, not NGK.
 
Always run the O.E.M. brand plug. That is what engineers get paid for and millions of miles of testing prove.
If you think Bosch is going to make your Fiat, Ahem , Mercedes, ahem, Chrysler , run better, you are mistaken.
Any new set of plugs will help in the short term, but the heat range is never quite right and the plugs break down quicker. For me Bosch quality has been inconsistent. Great for German vehicles , but last i looked, Mercedes sold Chrysler.
Champion , all the way.
Just like my Johnson outboard.
 
My wife's Saturn (2003 L300) with the German 3 liter DOHC engine uses the Bosch 4-elkectrode plugs. Had them change at close to 85,000 miles with the same thing (a Saturn part # on it). NEVER had a problem and they have always run fine.I also ran Bosch platinums in a 97 Chevy pickup for over 5 years with nary an issue. Good power and mileage.
 
I've replaced the copper plugs in my last couple of vehicles that ran them (03 PT Cruiser, 96 Honda Accord V6) with NGK Iridium plugs and never touched them again...never a problem (have about 55,000 miles on them in the Honda). I use them for their longevity...I don't notice any real performance benefits over the copper...they just hold up longer.
 
I used to run Bosch Platinum +4 plugs in all my cars. They are still in my Corvette, Impala, and Chevy Van. Never had any problems with them.

But, last year I replaced the OEM iridium plugs in my daughter's Chevy Malibu after 105,000 miles. I have never seen used plugs look so good, they looked brand new !

So, now I replaced my Murano plugs with Bosch iridium ones. No problems.
