The viscosity of your Mobil 1 10W-30 held up better than all of the oils I've run thus far in my STi:quote:

2003 WRX Mobil 1 10W30 3511 miles.
Blackstone Comments: Amended report to correct engine type. No problems
showed up here. All wear read below averages for this type
of engine, which is a very good indication of normal wearing
parts and careful operation. The universal averages show
normal wear after 4700 miles on the oil. Insolubles (oil
oxidation due to heat, use and blow-by) were low at 0.2%,
showing good oil filtration. No fuel dilution or anti-freeze
was found. Silicon was normal at 2 ppm, so your air filtration
is still getting the job done. Looks good at 33,146 miles. Check
back to establish trends.
