EQUIPMENT MAKE: 2004 Mercedes Benz E500

OIL USE INTERVAL: 10,005 Miles

MAKE-UP OIL ADDED: 0 qts

The answer to your question is, we don't think these were too many miles to run on the oil and you could go longer if you wanted. Universal averages show typical wear metals from the Mercedes Benz 5.0L V-8 after about 4,600 miles run on the oil. All your wear read well within the average range and this is especially good since this oil was run a lot longer than average. Silicon is a little high at 12 ppm and may show the need for fresh air filtration. The TBN was 4.4, still plenty high. 1.0 is low. Add another 4,000 and check back.

I will be posting my analysis for my Lifettime ATF soon too.

Si is not high at 12ppm. I think they were searching for some recommendation to give you. Good report, nothing needs changing.

Shouldn't I be concerned about the higher Silicone value. Been told it could be a filter issue and should be replaced.

The car is scheduled for free servicing - Engine Oil change. Does anthing need to be looked at?

Thanks in advance

Good question SSD ..this may be an 8 or 9 quart sump

I think something should be done about the fuel. 2% is too much.

Sory about the last section of the test result - I believe I have the colums mixed between "should be" and Tested Values. Fuel is less than 0.5%.

Depending on the Engine, I belive it ranges from 7.5 to 8 qts of fluid.
