MB 229.5 and NOACK limit

Since MB 229.5 (or ACEA A3/Bx) is thick, fuel-inefficient oil (HTHS > 3.5 cP), it's normal for such typical thick synthetic to have NOACK ~ 10% -- no surprise there. It's hard to keep the NOACK low for thin, fuel-efficient oil, not for thick, fuel-inefficient oil.

Compare the PDS on Formula Shell and Formula Shell Synthetic. You won't feel more confident.

I got a response on this from SOPUS. They said that the 11% Noack figure for PU 5w-40 is a typo. They promised to have it corrected and that it is definitely below 10%.
