So, like an idiot, I walked fast down the stairs, with my headphones (Earbud style)in my ears, and a glass of water in my hand. Somehow, the earbuds fell out of my ear and landed right in the water. I pulled them right out and they still played, but just wondering if they could shock a person in any way? TIA

I've ran USB flash drives through the washer and they are fine. Assuming the earphones/earbuds use a plastic driver they will operate just fine.

Was it really the toilet?

FYI, the water heater is a great place to "dry out" wet electronics.

The top of a water heater is generally slightly warm. Not hot. It's warm enough to force dry electronics without overheating them. I've done this with my iPhone and other things, with perfect results.

Just leave the part on top for a day.
