screwdriver sets

Well I thank everyone for their input. Still have not settled on what set to buy. I want to at least try and feel the HF Professional set. I also bought a Craftsman Torx set on EBAY for cheap ($9.00). In addition as projects around my house got finished, postponed or cancelled, I collected up my tools and my screwdriver drawer is looking pretty full now.

One of the best screwdriver sets I've ever purchased from "how often I use them" stand point is my Vessel Megadora JIS screwdriver set.

No more buggering up JIS screws using standard Phillips screwdrivers.

Thanks! I've been looking at the vessel megadora set for a while, just can't seem to pull the trigger since I can't seem to find many reviews. I really need a JIS set.

I am not sure they are JIS nor PH. They call them 'Cross Point'.
Unless you found products explicitly stating JIS.
There are few that make true JIS, the standard is pretty strict. Many Cos in Japan make their own 'standard' because of that. Pretty good stuff nevertheless

Where does one come across JIS screws? How to know they are true JIS rather than phillips?

They look like Phillips being a cross + shape. Most, but not all have either a small dot . or x on the face of the screw in addition to the cross. I've found them on a lot of electronics, but I occasionally find them on my Honda car too.
