This is on our New Holland LM435A telehandler. It has an Iveco 4 cylinder 275 cu. in engine. It is used for odd jobs all over the farm but right now it gets most of its hours feeding round bales into our bale grinder. I have listings for the last two oil changes. Using Service Pro 15w-40 oil. The recommended OCI is 600 hours.

Hours 3904, 4744
OCI 716, 840

I thought the high copper from the earlier oil change might have been from an issue with the oil cooler but it didn't seem to be an issue on the second oil change. I think I might try and go past a 1000 hours for the next OCI.

Great report. I concur on the 1000 hours. How long did it take to run the 840 hours and how long to get up to 1000?

I think it took about 10 months. Just this past summer we started grinding bales to feed our cattle so we use it more frequently than we have in the past so we might be able to get the extra hours in the same amount of time.

Take a UOA at 800 hours and if everything looks good run it on to 1000. You do not have to run another UOA just change it at 1000. You have a record of the engine wear by sampling at the 800 hour change. By the way the UOA looks great!

I continue to be impressed with the ServicePro fluids. By no means are they the only good oil out there, but in your fleet, it surely seems to perform strongly.

Also, the type operation you run, where your equipment gets up to temp and run for long hours, certainly contributes to good operating conditions.

A very nice UOA showing a very good wear trend in the equipment.
