Well, Ive tried to replicate the condition twice today due to running errands, and both times the car fires up and idles perfectly, immediately, without any fluctuation.
Has been intermittent but lately has been real bad. I've been SO busy the last year that the workarounds have been more convenient. But the idle degraded a bit lately so I dug more.
Today I pulled the harness from the ICV. Doesnt stall and the idle feels far better. CEL came on immediately. It idled too high when I turned off the AC, but all else seems fine.
What's the best way and agent to clean the innards of an ICV? Is blocking one side and pouring seafoam in too severe? Since there are moving parts in there, should I spray some lube in there after cleaning?
