I have a cub cadet with Kohler Courage 20,what oil filter can use instead of the KH-12-050-01 S1?

A quick google search reveals that a Wix 51056 is a direct replacement. I am sure that there are others as well.

Thanks I had bought a couple of tune up kits at Tractor Supply last year on clearance for 2.99,now I need to do oil change but not wanting to pay price for Kohler filter

Personally, I use the Purolator filters. The Wix/NAPA filters are a great choice too. Usually these filters are longer than the stock ones, which is good, but, make sure you have room for them. I'm not too familiar with the Kohler engine setup.

Which Kohler Courage? The single cyl or the V-twin? You've got completely different possibilities between the two. The sky is basically the limit with the V-twin (same fitment as a Command twin), where the orientation of the Courage single cyl allows for only OEM sized filters.

I ran Motorcraft FL400's on my Courage 20 V-twin.

I would highly recommend the Motorcraft FL400 or x-ref or your choice then.

That's a fine engine you've got. People generally freak out when they hear "Courage Series", but the twins are a different animal than the singles.
