Affect of using 0W-20 vs. 5W-30 in 2006 Matrix ?

Use 5W-30. Nothing else.

0W-20 is a lower viscostity oil and it won't circulate throughout your engine as well.

It gets hot in Texas. As oil heats up, it thins out.

If you lived in Alaska, maybe I would recommend 0W-20.
