there's an article a coroner wrote, I'll see if I can find it when I get home, but in a nutshell, He said:
Use a 12 guage if you can. If not, Use a rifle. After that, if have a large caliber handgun, .45 and such, use it.
The number of shots the corpses received was IN GENERAL, smaller with larger bullets.
Shotgun and rifle were the best stoppers he had seen go across his table. (duh)

It doesn't matter, just get whichever you are more comfortable with shooting.

Both rounds are just as affective when properly placed.

I have never used a semi auto as as house gun. I doubt I ever will. Carry? yes but House gun? Nope.

I thought you just couldn't carry HP's around in NJ, but were perfectly legal to own and keep in your home?
