Gun Laws only thin end of the wedge...

Here in Wyoming, open carrying of firearms has always been legal and concealed firearm permits must be issued to law abiding residents.

Our legislature just passed a bill and Governor Mead signed it into law a few days ago - CONCEALED CARRY NO LONGER REQUIRES ANT PERMIT AS OF JULY, 2011.

Wyoming will continue to issue concealed permits so residents can take advantage of reciprocity in other States. For example, Utah recognizes Wyoming concealed permits so a Wyoming resident may obtain a Wyoming concealed permit to carry in Utah.

Gotta love Wyoming. The more liberal Democrats like Obama push, the harder we shove back.

Obama hasn't done anything to restrict gun rights. Utah and Wyoming are a little different from DC anyway. I don't see the connection so why compare with a major metropolitan area. If someone carried in NYC or DC, their right would surely infringe on someone elses as soon as they pulled the trigger. Even with a frangible I can see the danger. This is just an observation using my common sense.

To say Obama hasn't done anything to restrict gun rights is foolish. Just look at BATFE, FEMA, DOJ, DHS... They're pretty much out of control and do what they want! The Prez is very careful on the words he uses, and his appointees, like the AG, are another story when it comes to their actions.

After seeing the pathetic performance of the govt during the LA riots, and during hurricane Katrina(disarming law abiding citizens that were then robbed by ...), along with what is going on in the world(so-called protesting but actually riots and civil disarray), it would be crazy not to keep yourself armed and be protected.

Well, like a good politician, I'm going to tell everyone I'm vegetarian(my words) but when my curtains close, I'm eating a big fat juicy rare steak(my actions).

The real Vermont isn't liberal...you have the right to hunt on other people's land unless posted, you have the right to concealed carry...Vermont had a 4 term Republican Governor until the 2010 election...real Vermonters are the woodchucks. The influx of effete, liberal "trustifarians" and retired bankers in their 30s have skewed the demographics somewhat...

The headline grabbing stuff (e.g. civil unions) is the result of the courts in Vermont...which are liberal...

Vermont had a higher proportion (per capita) of casualties in nearly all american wars, including the civil war through Iraq and Afghanistan. The real Vermont has a higher percentage of the population serving on active duty and in the guard and reserve than nearly any other state...which explains the higher casualty percentage...

This place stinks, I'm going to move over there.

Now that I'm here, why doesn't this new place have this and that and not ban those.....

Just looking at it objectively (if that can be done), the paranoia about Obama (created by the NRA) just ended up screwing the NRAs own members with higher prices for everything gun related. Remember the mass right wing paranoia and the spike in gun and ammo prices? But in all fairness to the NRA, the paranoia helps with their membership, so for marketing reasons I can see why they do what they do. Typical politics (although not limited to right wingers). I'm along with it too. I want to complete my AR project before the "ban" (or at least get my 30 round magazines).

The elected officials are a representative of the population. Using your logic, I believe we should ask the native Americans what they think about issues first. After all, they were there first. Look at Bernie Sanders (I-VT). He gets elected by a clear majority every time he runs, but is called a socialist by many.
