diesel oil - rotella 5/40 syn vs. valvoline true

Valvoline true blue syn 5/40 vs. rotella 5/40 syn. Anybody have thougths?

Sure. They are both excellent choices for an application that requires a CJ4 5w40 engine oil.

I have been using the rotella syn in my 7.3 powerstroke diesel with an oilguard bypass. I change the oil at 10k.

clydesdale: Did you run a UOA at the end of that 10K miles? You can make that choice by yourself...

Pick your 5W-40...
1. Do a 5K mile UOA-->review the results...continue until your 10K... Do another UOA-->review the results...

Then do the same with the Valvoline.. I'll bet the valvoline will have a slight edge... but review both results and choose...
