Opening Bleeder Screw To Retract Caliper Piston

I always open the bleeder valve when compressing the caliper. This serves two purposes. It does not unnecessarily compress the system. I don't know that to be undesirable. I just don't like to do it. It also allows one to rid the caliper of all the sediments that settle there, plus you create a need for new clean replacement fluid which is a good thing. I wouldn't do it any other way. That's just my opinion.
