I am currently running a 75 link belt crane. i have been told by link belt that the boom, which has teflon wear pads does not require lubrication. they told me to wax the boom to prevent scratches and wear on the paint. is there a dry lubricant that i can use on a boom to prevent wear? i have waxed the boom once but the wax does not last. thanks for any help.

60 tonne generator rotors are oft removed (unthreaded from the stator) on skid plates.

Oft the appropriate non contaminating lube is canning wax.

(We've got a bent beam at work, where someone thought that surfboard wax was a good idea).
