Looking for a high quality grease (preferably Schaeffers) to replace the last bit of Royal Purple grease I had in my grease gun. From what I understand, the RP stuff is aluminum based as is #274 from Schaeffers. Would that be ok to mix? What I'm going to be mainly greasing are my ball joints, tie rod ends, and U-Joints. I really cant remember what partnumber of royal purple grease I used. I live here in So. Cal so it never freezes. Is #274 a good alternative for my purpose and outside weather conditions?

As I understand it.....you can mix any of the aluminum complex or lithium based greases.........just not the bentone stuff. I really like the 274 stuff, but I have heard good things about the RP too.
