Honda ATV break seal grease??

I have a Honda ATV which calls for a NLGI #3 grease to be used on the rubber seal lips that keep water out of the brakes.
What is NLGI3 grease and what would be a good waterproof grease to use? The seals are constantly turning and rubbing against the stationary brake backing plate to seal out water.
