Michelin Energy MXV8 review

The Energy MXV4 series are mediocre for being Michelin - they're designed mostly as an OEM tire for BMW/Mercedes/Honda/Lexus fitments as they are low-rolling resistance and have more of an emphasis on ride comfort. The orignal MXV4s were designed for the heavy Mercedes W126/W140 and BMW E32/E38 7 Series as an OEM and OEM replacement tire, but it found its way to Honda as OEM on the Accord except for the DX.

The newer Primacy MXV4 is a leap and bounds improvement.

I got 45k out of the MXV4s on three different Accords. Stiff and loud, particulary,at the end. Goodyear Comfort Treads cured the stiff and loud and are the most comfortable, quiet tire I have ever run. Got 30k on 2 sets on my current Accord. Just the way I like for them to wear out. 5/8 warranty credit applied to the replacement set of tires. All I'm out is the additional $60 for DT to balance and mount them. I've got fresh rubber and another 80k warranty. FZ1 is a Maven. Happy Holidays all.
