What is the thickest Motor Oil

I recall decades ago seeing Kendall SAE 70 oil, labeled as "Racing Oil".
Even then, as a mere lad in my twenties, using 10W-40 in everything, I wondered what you'd actually use it for.

Using 10W-40 in everything works, it will bog down old Honda Civic CRXs but Yes you Can.

10W-40 is great default grade.

40W-70 huh? Man.. it gets hot here, but WOW. 20W-50 was the previous big thick daddy evil pants.

As a lad in my x0s even i know this.
