I'm in the process of converting my truck from a belt driven fan over to an electric fan. I ordered the radiator hose in line adapter that is made for a 1/8 NPT fan switch thinking they are quick and easy to find. Well, low and behold, I really can't find much of anything. I was wanting a switch that would turn the fan on around 190-195 degrees. Any thoughts on where to locate one of these? Or a cross reference chart for OEM switches with these threads with on/off temperatures displayed? I'm thinking that this should be a fairly easy question for someone that's into sport compact cars. The site I ordered this adapter from was catered to the sport compact car crowd, but since this adapter would fit on my truck, I didn't think much of it. Any direction would be useful.

they don't claim size for the sensor but look how it's about half the size of the fuse.

You can call them and ask; they're supposed to have awesome customer service.

GM cars at least dumped the on/off switch around 1990 so the computer would run the fan. My cadillac cimarron had one of those big old switches, 3/4" thread or so.

From an engineering perspective I like this:

Universal, and if you set it to just below thermostat temp the fan will come on before your core engine temp changes. This will take stress off your gaskets etc.
