vw transmission code 01166

So I got My 2002 GTI 1.8T scanned with a snap on scanner. Got 01166 code, engine torque Signal Outside Specifications (Transmission code). I searched the net up and down. I've read that it might be an EPC problem, a MAF sensor problem, ECM problem. Anyone have experience with this problem?

I can only give general direction here.
And it is to contact several dealers and ask them what this usually means.
There may be an old TSB or recall, which would make it even easier.
