It is the same stuff. Someone from here posted a few years ago on another forum that Lubrizol made Amsoils PI. I can't remember who it was, but I think it was NHHemi.
Lubrizol let Amsoil be the guinea pig. Now that it works, they are selling it under their own name.

Lubrizol doesn't sell direct to consumers.
