O'Reilly has a special this month where you can get 5 qts O'Reilly Full Synthetic oil and a Wix filter starting at 19.99 (depends how much your filter is). So I was wondering if anyone knows how good this O'Reilly Full synthetic is or who makes it?

I do know that the 5w30 Dino FAILS the NOACK volatility, mass % loss, 1 hr, @ 250ºC (ASTM D5800) test.

thats not good !

I, too was looking at that 5qt w/filter O'Reilly full syn $19.99 special but there are some questioning the quality of the oil, expecially since the NOACK results of their dino got failing grades.

So with the jury still out on the O'Reilly syn, I have pretty much decided on either the Pennzoil Platinum or the Valvoline SynPower that are also on sale there for $3.99 ($19.95 @ 5qts).
I could get a good filter for $3 or $4 dollars for my car, or a Wix for $6. So I'll probably go that route.
