ELF TRANSELF NFJ 75W80

Does anyone know anything about this stuff? My parts department has a case of it in the back, but it was replaced with Nissan MTF at some point. Wondering if this would be good for a Manual Transaxle that calls for GF3 75w80

On the bottle it says

Elf 75w80 Tranself NFJ GL-4+ Renault JXX, NDX,TL4

8.5cst GL4+ manual transmission(synchromesh) fluid.

Isn't Nissan MTF a 75w85 GL4?

I think the Elf would work extremely well for your transmission that calls for GF3 75w80. What transmission?

I don't know why we have it. My parts mgr said that Nissan was shipping that before they had "Nissan" branded mtf to ship. Just like when you order gear oil from Nissan, they ship us Pennzoil.

I have a 2006 Mitsu Eclipse GT. It has a 6speed Aisin Manual. I'm told it is an "Aisin BG6 Transaxle" The oem is Mitsu Diaqueen New Multi Gear Oil 75w80. I currently have BG SynchroShift II in it, but normally change it each season. Thought about using this stuff. I've never seen GL4+. Don't know what the + means.
