I attempted a search of this forum for titles and boday and green and "green grease" and such with no HITS. Is this Green stuff so terrible that you guys won't even mention it. I'ved used it to pack fresh water boat trailer and utility trailer bearings -- really hard to get off your hands with jut soap and water. Mineral spirtis gets it off.

I've used it in several applications without issue. That stuff is amazingly tenacious and seems to work well but some have expressed concern about it 'whipping' up when used in a timken style bearing. AFAIK it has no moly, which will please some and sadden others. I'm sure it's fine for a boat & utility trailer - far better than the yak fat most bearings seem to be shipped with. It's a lithium complex base plus 'synthetic polymers' whatever those are.

BTW, here are some threads I found on it with google, perhaps they will help.

It's been about a year since I've packed my commuter bike bearings with that stuff. It turned a little off green but it's still all there...

Got caught in a few rain storms, unlike previous lithium bearing greases I used before this stuff definitely doesn't go anywhere when exposed to water.

The cheesy advertising still gets me though.

I emailed them a couple of years ago about which soap thickener they use and IIRC they did not say it was lithium complex, but was compatible with lithium complex? I cannot find the email. But that being said, it is not cheap, but seems to do really well in difficult applications.

I got several tubes of Schaeffer #274 synthetic blend grease a few months ago and am now experimenting and using it in all applications. This stuff seems to be every bit as waterproof as the green greese and more, and has some moly too. Costs about half, but not found in stores unfortunately. Also, it uses an aluminum complex soap thickener. They claim their grease-making process takes 4 days!

Funny, I used it to do the same thing (regreased a reciprocating saw, drill gearbox & several ratchets). I always wear nitrile gloves when handling grease or oil, so it was no messier than any other.
