Can I find pure gas (or at least low ethanol gas)

No, all gasoline sold in CA have 10% ethanol.
Airplane gasoline at airports has no ethanol. You want to go to a mid size airport. One that is fairly large but mostly gas powered airplanes, few jets.
From what I know, California required all street gas to be oxygenated.
I've been wondering why my spark plugs are melting and why I'm getting bad gas mileage recently, but I see the correlation:
California required that all street gas sold be oxygenated by 2010!
I had checked pure-gas.org, and indeed Cali is not represented.
Do small airports sell unleaded 91 octane?

I think Reddy45 is correct. I believe airplane gas does still have lead. One sight I read in the past was about using airport gas for OPE such as a generator, or lawnmower. You would not want to put it in anything with a catalytic converter.
