1970's 'big boats' - owned one of them?

I had a 68 Impala Fastback that came factory with a 250 six/powerglide. I switched it to a 327/Turbo 400. I also used to drive my Dad's 1966 Olds 98 with a 425 turbo 400. My 327 was a wind out motor and the Olds 425 was a torque monster.
The Impala was my first car. I know these are not 70s cars but the 70s boats started in the 60s anyway.

I rebuilt the 327 from scratch and later did a quick rebuild of the 425 Olds. I learned a lot from those cars.

I was 16 in 1973, not 1974 like this youngster. I learned to drive in my Dad's 1971 Mercury Marquis Brougham, with its 429 cubic inches of massive rear-wheel drive power, silky smooth ride and boat-like handling. In those days you had your choice of smooth, floaty luxury (big V-8 domestic cars) or hard-riding, gutless economy and foreign cars.

Your first car was a Hemi? Did your parents want you to kill yourself?

1967 Chrysler 300 Sedan - 440 Magnum
1968 Chrysler 300 Coupe - 440 Magnum
1970 Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban - 383 2bbl
1972 Cadillac Sedan Deville - 500
1976 Cadillac Coupe Deville - 500 (Last of the big bodies)
1978 Ford LTD - 302 (Last of the Big Bodies and seriously under powered)

I assume since it was a 426 Six-Pack it was a mid-sixties 426 Wedge with a retrofitted 440 Six-Pack Intake. Either the '69 Aluminum Edelbrock Unit or the '70-'72 (Debatable if any '72 built) Cast Iron Mopar Unit.

A Charger was not a C-Body so doesnt really qualify for the "Boat" Category.
