Anyone here use or have used the VR1 in the 10W30 weight? I`m trying to decide whether to get it in 10W30 (winter oil) or 20W50 w/my free case rebate. If I go with the 10W30 I`m assuming I`ll have to order it as I`ve never seen it in any stores. Who`d be able to order it? Autozone perhaps?

I use VR1 10W-30 in my 383 stroker 'vette. I don't drive it in the winter.

Been using this since I built the engine ~4 years ago.

BTW, this is a flat tappet CC XE274H cam engine.

Yes, I have used it frequently in my 1970 GTO when I couldn't find the straight 30 VR1. I have started to prefer the multi-grade VR1 10w30 actually as of late. I am definitely not a big fan of thick oils whether it is for my muscle cars or certainly my daily drivers so I don't recommend the 20w50 but it is your call.

I just noticed the VR1 synthetic in a lighter grade, I think it was 10w-30, at my Autozone. Call em up, they might be able to get it
