Doug: Most informative post again - - and intriguing. Is there anything you can share with us regarding issues oil companies face with DI engines? I assume its an issue of fuel dilution, but anything else? The reason I'm asking is that I have a car with BMW's DI twin turbo engine (the N54). Its an oil cooker. Normal street oil temps are 240-250 F, even with oil cooler. I'm worried about crankcase oil vapors eventually building up deposits in the intake tract/intake valves, even though the engine appears to have a good cyclonic oil separator in the crankcase ventilation system. I'd use TWS in a heartbeat but its not the viscosity that BMW specs for the N54.
