Hi Guy,

Was anyone using this stuff its so thick and goey ... lol

Thank You

Yes, your observation is indeed correct (Permatex ceramic Extreme syn brake grease) is indeed thick, purple coloured and gooey..

Been using it for the past 2.5yrs on all brake jobs and been very happy so far.

Q.

Used it last year on one of our vehicles, and yes, it does seem awfully thick. No problems to report so far.

It's thick and gooey, but it works VERY well. You can use it everywhere on the system. It won't react with brake fluid either. So when I rebuilt a master cylinder I used it on the rubber parts and no ill effects. I lube up the caliper pistons, rubber seals, and the pistons move much easier, which in turn has a noticable effect on the brake pedal effort and feed back.

I used it on the caliper slides and guide pins on a Honda Element. It was prone to sticking and needed to be greased every year. I hope it will solve this problem and I won't need to lube every year. Probably too much to ask. Washout <2%, high temperature rating and very, very, tenatious stuff.
