Has anyone tried using Lucas Oil Stabilizer on a foam air filter?

I am thinking of trying this since I don't have any thicker oil.

I wouldn't use lucas oil stabilzer to oil a door hinge.

Send me an email at [email protected]

for just the shipping cost, I will send you the remaining bottles of Amsoil foam air filter oil that I have. I believe I have several.

This oil is made for foam air filters and is very tacky. It is also very detergent soluble. I used simple green and the filters would come clean and oil free.

30 weight non-detergent oil or any unused automotive oil will suffice.

Weight of the oil is not an issue. You could wash it in kerosene and not oil it and it would still do an adequate job.

In ye olden days we used the same motor oil on the foam filters that we used in the engines.
Lucas oil stabilizer would probably work o.k..
Its just a very thick petroleum product.

But modern air filter oils are far superior to common motor oils for use with foam air filters.
Theyr more expensive, but theyr worth it.
