Pretty pleased with this sample. I removed my oilguard bypass and just ran a Fleetguard Stratapore. Going to run this oil to 10,000km and change it out. the 15W40 dino performed just as well as the 5W40 Delo Syn I used to run for 1/2 the cost.

We have had better results with the stratapore over the venturi filter, and they are almost 1/2 the cost

Good uoa...agreed on the double your current interval.
And look at those zddp values on the Delo. I still wonder why many are still sticking with their CI4 oils so stubbornly...

Talking KM's I would actually run Delo or delvac to 14000km. ULSD has such a huge affect on oil now that drain intervals can be extended as long as Vis stay decent. Our standar OCI with dino is 7000 miles on 7.3's. Unless heavily modded of course

I don't run a 7.3L so I don't have a good frame of reference, but is 19ppm of Fe high for only 4k miles? Other than that, looks good.

C'mon Dave, not everyone can be perfect...

My last analysis with 7600km was 15. That was with the Delo 400 5W40. Not really concerned as it is my first sample using Delo 15W40 so will trend this for a few OCI. Blackstone universal average is 17 in 5000 miles.

Fe isn't so high it's critical by any means. Just seemed high for what equates to less than 4k miles. Perhaps this is normal for a 7.3L? Certainly hasn't hurt their reputation as one of the better diesels out there!

Alittle higher FE is pretty normal, and his numbers are deffinetly nothing to worry about.

You have a great filter and product, go 14k
